Dunlop Geomax MX53 is Dunlop’s medium to hard terrain motocross tyre, which has been developed and perfected on the world motocross championship scene. The front tyre has been redesigned with a taller profile to offer a larger contact patch which in turn provides gentler handling and a higher lean angle for better manoeuvrability. The actual front blocks are 1mm higher and have been redistributed to give a better steering feel and more of a biting edge. With regards to the pattern on the front tyre, it’s a horseshoe design that reduces stiffness in the centre, these blocks are also able to “grab” the dirt to provide better braking grip.

Just like the front, the rear also contains a block-in-a-block technology which allows for added flex in the knob to enhance grip while providing stability and slide control. Dunlop’s Advanced Apex Design improves shock absorption by diffusing shock through a taller, thinner apex inside the sidewall. Finally, new compounds on both front and rear tyres enhance durability and longevity.
